Hong Kong, 23rd December, 1926.

Report on Company's business 16/23rd December, 1926.

Crew of s.s. "Sui An" changed 16th Instant, and new

crew signed on.

Crew of s.s. "Kinshan" signed off on 20th Instant

and wages paid for full month of December, together with

half month's pay as a bonus.

Crew of s.s. "Lungshan" paid off 21st Instant.

Full

pay for December and one month's extra pay on account of service rendered on "Honam" and "Lungshan" from September 1925

to date on Canton run.

The bonus to crews has been paid out of sum to be furnished by the Farming Syndicate under arrangement to call off boycott of Company's vessels.

On 18th Instant pickets round Company's harves at Canton were withdrawn and a marked improvement was shown in passenger returns. Private advices, not yet confirmed, state that the boycott of the Company's vessels by members of Cargo Coolies Union will cease this week, and this is shewn by more

cargo moving.

The "Lungshan" carried to Canton this morning some 3,000 packages, and a fair number of Chinese passengers (about

250).
